SMALL GROUPS

Sunday School Classes

Sunday School classes provide an opportunity to study the Word of God in a small group setting on Sunday mornings in conjunction with our Sunday morning worship services.  Our intent is to actively engage people in purposeful and in-depth study of God’s Word.  Sunday School classes help achieve this goal and will produce opportunities for spiritual growth, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and personal evangelism.

Sunday School classes are available at both 9:30 am and 11 am and include groups for men, women, all adults, young adults, and parents of school-age children.

"Easter" by J.D. Greear

A virtual Study for everyone

Join Charlene Holland of First Baptist and Chuck Wilkers of Warrenton Baptist as they take us on a 5-week journey of the events that led up to Jesus’ death and resurrection from the Gospel of Matthew, revealing the ways we should see ourselves in Jesus’s story. Members from First Baptist, Warrenton Baptist and our community are invited to join us. We will follow JD Greear's "Easter" study on RightNow Media. Everyone will need a RightNow account which is free and available on our RightNow Media Page. Jesus died for us so that He could be alive in us today. Easter changes everything!

Fellowship 2:10

A Biblically-based discussion group for young professionals

Often, the tough questions of life don’t come with easy answers. Our goal is to provide authentic and honest discussion that is rooted in God’s word about some of the most difficult topics and questions in our culture and world. Inspired by I Corinthians 2:10, we seek to allow the Holy Spirit to guide our conversations as we seek out the deep things of God and the answers found in Him that our world so deeply longs for.

“…these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.” -I Corinthians 2:10

Starting Point: A Conversation About Faith

A discussion for those hoping to 'start' or 're-start' their faith

Everything has a starting point. Sometimes we forget that faith has a starting point, too. For some of us, our faith journeys began in childhood as a set of beliefs handed to us by a parent, teacher, or pastor. Maybe you developed a framework of faith based on personal experience. Or maybe you have no faith at all. What if you could find a new starting point for faith? If you are looking to ‘start’ or ‘restart’ your faith, join us for an eight-week class that will include a video session then a discussion about faith.

A study for women

Location: WBC Conference Room
February 21, 28; March 7, 14, 21, 28

When life feels depleted, does God care? I’m facing an onslaught of challenges, will God help? When life grows dark and stormy, does God notice? I’m facing the fear of death, will God help me? The answer in the life-giving miracles in the Gospel of John is a resounding yes.

In You Are Never Alone, Max will help you:

  • Realize that Jesus is walking with you and lifting you out of your storms.
  • Dwell in the grace of the cross, the miracle of the empty tomb, and the assurance of restoration power.
  • Believe that God is your ever-present source of help.
  • Recognize that you are never without hope or strength because you are never, ever, alone.

Today, take courage that you are stronger than you think because God is nearer than you know.
