Vocal Opportunities

Cherub Choir [Ages 3-Kindergarten]

Meets on Sundays from 4:30-5:15 p.m. in Room 105 during the school year

This choir offers your preschooler the opportunity to:

  • learn to love music
  • begin to listen and learn to match pitches
  • experience music with ‘hands-on’ activities
  • use their imagination to do creative activities with music
  • learn about God and His Kingdom through song
  • learn about and experience the concept of ‘teamwork’

His Instruments of Praise [Grades 1-5]

Meets on Sundays from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in Room 212 during the school year

In this choir your child will have the opportunity to:

  • develop their love for music
  • continue to develop ear training and pitch-matching skills
  • learn about worship and the role music plays in worship
  • participate in Sunday worship at certain times and in seasonal services
  • further develop the concept of ‘teamwork’
  • participate in musical dramas

Sanctuary Choir [Adults]

Rehearsals on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

This choir:

  • is the service choir for our two traditional worship services
  • provides seasonal music throughout the year
  • looks for ways to promote Christ in our community through the avenue of music

Worship Band [Adults/Youth]

Rehearsals on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.

This group:

  • provides music for the 9:00 Contemporary Service each Sunday
  • offers a different avenue of musical opportunities for vocal expression in the worship setting

Instrumental Opportunities

Handbells [Adults/Youth]

Meets on Wednesday night from 7:00-8:00 p.m. during the school year

This two-octave choir currently consists of adults and is capable of expansion. It offers:

  • an opportunity to participate in worship services and at seasonal times of the year
  • a different avenue of musical opportunity to those with musical ability but who are not comfortable singing in a choir

Worship Band [Adults/Youth]

Rehearsals on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.

This group:

  • provides music for the 9:00 Contemporary Service each Sunday
  • offers a different avenue of musical opportunities in the worship setting
  • provides a wide variety of options for instrumentalists to participate in the leading of worship
