The Gospel

When God created the universe, He created it to be perfect and in harmony with Him. However, mankind chose to turn from God, severing the perfect relationship with Him that they were intended to enjoy. In order to restore man’s relationship with Him, God sent His Son Jesus, who was both fully God and fully man, to live a perfect life, and to die at the hands of those whom He came to save. After three days of being in the grave, Jesus rose from the dead, defeating both sin and death, and providing a way for humanity to once again have a relationship with their Creator and to live eternally with Him. It is only through this relationship with God that human beings experience true fulfillment and purpose. The steps to becoming a follower of Jesus are simple, but costly:

Repent: Jesus calls for his followers to acknowledge that they need him and to turn away from their sin. (Mark 1:15, Luke 5:32, Acts 2:38, Romans 2:4)

Believe: Jesus says that all who believe in Him will have eternal life and are welcomed into God’s family.   (Mark 16:16, John 1:12, 3:16, Acts 16:31)

Jesus is calling you to join God’s family with open arms! How will you respond to Him?

Baptism

Baptism is a public, symbolic act of what Christ has done in the life of the believer. Just as Christ died and was buried, but then rose from the grave, the professing believer is submerged in water, but then raised out of the water, signaling the new life that is found in Christ. Although the act of baptism does not save the believer, it is a very vital “first step” in the life of the believer and an important declaration to the entire Body (Matt. 28:19).

If you are interested in baptism or would like to learn more, we invite you to talk with one of our pastors or to contact the church office at office@warrentonbaptistchurch.org.

Serve

We believe that every single believer is uniquely equipped to serve others, both inside and outside the Church. The job of ministry is for every single member of the Church, and we want to help you find a place where you are gifted and called to serve.

Learn

In order to carry the Word of God into our community, the Word of God must first come alive in us. We encourage all of our members to be involved with regular Bible study with other believers so that, together, we can deepen our relationships with God as we learn more about Him. We also want to provide you with resources to learn and grow in your personal time spent with Jesus.
