We now begin the final 10 days of our prayer challenge. Whenever one gets to the final 10 of anything we start thinking about what will happen. 10…9…8…7. Any countdown comes with expectation. After 50 days of prayer what will we do? What will God do? Will we look up and say “Well Lord, the ball is in your court. Your turn.” Have you been watching? Have you seen God moving as a result of your prayers and the prayers of others?
I got news for you today, God is not waiting another 10 days before He does something. God has been working, God is working and God will continue to work. He is the Creator and Sustainer of the world and all that is in it. That was true before we started praying for revival and it will continue to be true when we finish. Our purpose has not been to somehow motivate God to get up and do something. After all, we know that our God has always been the Pursuer. He is the Good Shepherd who goes looking for the lost one. He so loved the world that He came. The Scripture tells us, “God demonstrated His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8). Nobody wants revival more than God.
Our prayers for God to grant revival in our church, our community and our country prepare us to recognize and receive and respond to the work of God around us. To become Kingdom minded and Kingdom driven and Kingdom proclaimers! You don’t have to wait 10 days…look for God today!
