50 Day Prayer Challenge – Day 14

For two weeks we have been praying daily for God to bring revival to our churches, our communities. and our country. Yesterday many thousands of people gathered on the mall in downtown DC to pray for the very same thing! God is moving among His people to “humble themselves and pray”. This is the Biblical prescription to revival! Some have asked if it is too late to join us in our journey of prayer here at Warrenton Baptist. It is not too late! We welcome you to join in this prayer effort.

I reminded folks today on the church’s Facebook page that revival must be preceded by repentance. This is a turning away from our sin and turning toward God. Jesus said, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23). Jesus was explaining to His disciples that the life of the believer is marked by daily sacrifice and commitment to Him. It is true that we are born again once, but making Jesus Lord is a decision we make every moment!

Blessings!
