Genuine revival unites us under the LORD’s leadership. There is a purity and simplicity to revival…a laser focus that unites all believers under one hope, one faith, one Lord…Jesus. Revival is not getting all fired up about your personal agenda and everyone else falling into line. In fact, until your devotion to the LORD becomes more important to you than your politics and personal preferences revival will not come. The Scripture tells us that God will not share His glory (Isaiah 48:11). “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek my face...” (2 Chron. 7:14).

Revival is about us getting on God’s “page” not God getting on ours. That is what it means to “seek” His face! This is what should unite all believers! We have responsibilities as citizens of this earthly kingdom to be sure, but we cannot effectively do those without seeking God first. Jesus said, “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness…” (Matthew 6:33)

As you pray today for revival in our churches, our communities and our country, focus on the simple truth…it begins with getting on board with Jesus. Ask Him to unite His people as they seek HIS face and turn to Him.
