Prayer is the greatest power on earth. The greatest life ever lived was also the most prayerful life ever lived. Jesus sometimes went alone to pray; other times He prayed publicly. If Jesus felt the need for prayer, how much more do we need prayer?
Our Prayer Ministry serves in two ways:
Weekly Prayer Chain- Through the Prayer Chain, you can receive a phone call or email weekly giving you a list of prayer requests. During that week, you pray specifically for those requests. Our weekly prayer chain is phoned on Tuesdays. You may request morning, afternoon, or early evening.
There are prayer guidelines available.
Our church has several groups that minister to the needs of our senior adults in our church and community. Group leaders meet quarterly to plan Bible studies, visitation, activities, meals, day trips and ministries with and for our senior adults.
Sojourners- plans community Bible studies, day trips, and special lunches.
Friendly Friday Folks- meets weekly on Fridays at 10:30am for fellowship, programs and meal.
Homebound- mentors are asked to visit their homebound members regularly and bring their reports at a monthly meeting on 2nd Tuesdays at 3pm in the church library.
Sunday School Classes- several weekly SS classes are offered for our sr. adults on Sunday morning at 9:30am. Contact Rev. Doug Harris at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like additional information
